**Job Title: Batch Operator** **Job Description** We are a leading manufacturer and supplier of plastic resin, providing materials to injection mold companies. As a global leader in modified plastics used in automotive and consumer products, we serve some of the biggest names in the industry. We are looking for two candidates to train on the 1st shift before moving to the 3rd shift. **Responsibilities** + Retrieve, mix, and monitor chemicals used in the production process. + Lift up to 50 lbs frequently. + Measure out ingredients accurately. + Clean out the containers used for mixing. + Add ingredients into a large mixer. + Record information such as weight, temperature, and ingredients, and input them into the system. + Stage areas for production. + Stand on ledges as required. + Wear respirators while handling certain chemicals, following proper fitting procedures. + Conduct air quality tests to ensure safety. + Troubleshoot issues with the help of maintenance when necessary. + Work independently after proper training. **Essential Skills** + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. + Job tenure with an average of 6+ months. + Attention to detail. + Self-directed with the ability to maintain a steady pace. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in batch making. + Experience in chemical operating. **Why Work Here?** We offer great benefits during the contract period and once you become a direct employee. We provide fans, water, and Gatorade to help keep you cool. While the facility typically does not have much odor, certain chemicals being mixed can produce smells. You will have the opportunity to listen to music through ear pods once you are fully trained and make the switch to your normal shift. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $18.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
