Typical Qualifications What We’re Looking For: + Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have held it for a minimum of 2 years. + Virginia Emergency Vehicle Operator’s Course (Vehicle Class 1, 2, and 3) certification. + Fire Officer III certification or higher through Virginia, NBFSPQ, and/or IFSAC. + Fire Instructor I and II certifications through Virginia, NBFSPQ, and/or IFSAC. + Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations certification. + Driver/Operator – Pumper certification through Virginia, NBFSPQ, and/or IFSAC. + Virginia Emergency Medical Technician (or higher) certification.
