This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Applicant must be eligible to work in the US for immediate opening. For this opportunity, the successful candidate will be directly employed by Bartech Staffing as a W2 employee while providing services to our end client.
Battery Calibration Technologist
Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Battery Calibration Technologist will include: Compensation (Range): 25.35 / hour BEV Calibration Technologist The Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) Powertrain Engineering team is looking for qualified candidates to perform Calibration technologist duties. Calibrators work in a team environment to deliver production ready powertrain calibrations on time with efficiency and quality and the technologist is responsible with supporting the team by maintaining the calibration vehicle fleet with repairs and updates, data collection, trip support, parts ordering, vehicle instrumentation, etc. Work is operated out of Dearborn with some travel support required at testing facilities in Michigan, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, and Canada. Responsibilities: • Serve as a key BEV technologist responsible for the BEV powertrain calibration test vehicle fleet and support of the calibration team in testing, maintenance, and issue resolution. • Lead prototype vehicle build support, coordination, issue diagnosis, and instrumentation • Travel and support calibration development test trips in various locations • Interface with hardware design and release activities and program build teams to coordinate vehicle hardware levels Preferred skills and experience: • Valid Driver’s License. Good organizational skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work closely with a team and others outside the team. Knowledge of automotive repair. • Hybrid or Electric vehicle experience is preferred. CDL preferred. • 2+ years of automotive service background.

Serve as a key BEV technologist responsible for the BEV powertrain calibration test vehicle fleet and support of the calibration team in testing, maintenance, and issue resolution. • Lead prototype vehicle build support, coordination, issue diagnosis, and instrumentation • Travel and support calibration development test trips in various locations • Interface with hardware design and release activities and program build teams to coordinate vehicle hardware levels 2+ years of automotive service background. Education Required: High School or Associate Degree
