Battery Developer within electrical power supply, 24V battery

Are you experienced or eager to learn about automotive chemistry? Do you want to play a central role in distributing 24V power across an entire vehicle? If so, this is the opportunity for you! We have several exciting low-voltage battery projects (up to 60V) in our roadmap, and we are looking for a passionate engineer to drive innovation in this field.

 

Role Summary

 

As a battery developer engineer you will work close with a local group of experienced engineers and also in a team dedicated to battery development spread worldwide. You will develop, specify and test our VCA batteries, aiming at world class power supply for prototype and production ready heavy trucks and busses. You will work together with purchase, production and colleagues in development teams, incorporating different disciplines. One big part of your work will be to come up with test ideas for the batteries and the components that the group owns to ensure that they were simulated in different environment and usage conditions.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

· Develop, specify, and test our VCA batteries, ensuring world-class power supply solutions for prototypes and production-ready vehicles.

· Collaborate with purchase, production, and development teams, integrating expertise from multiple disciplines.

· Contribute to the advancement of 24V power supply systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and performance.

· We are in a transformation journey towards a team based, value flow way of working. You will participate actively in planning and daily work, striving for shortening lead times with quality and quantity kept at a high level.

 

Who you are

 

You have a M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Chemical, Physics, Materials, Electro, or Mechanical Engineering. You are either an experienced engineer or have some experience in battery development or related fields, with additional experience in purchase, production, or laboratory testing being a plus but not required.

You are passionate about chemistry and development, are eager to learn and thrive in a collaborative environment with colleagues from around the world. You have strong organizational and prioritization skills, can handle multiple tasks simultaneously and are curious and proactive in solving challenges and thinking about possible different tests that can be done to ensure that the battery is proven in different environments and conditions.

A passenger car driver’s license is required, and we will support you in obtaining one for heavy vehicles.
