Job Summary: The BESS Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of battery energy storage systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, battery technologies, and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with BESS and a commitment to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our energy storage solutions.
Position requires 100% travel anywhere throughout the MidWest
Pay: This is a non-exempt hourly role. The pay range is $36.30 - $43.56 per hour
What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair battery energy storage systems.Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on BESS equipment.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to BESS.Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with safety standards.Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to optimize system performance.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and system performance.Provide technical support and training to customers and team members.Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electrical engineering or a related field preferred.Proven experience as a BESS Technician or similar role.Strong knowledge of battery technologies and electrical systems.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.Preferred:
