We are the leading provider of services for the life cycle management of batteries used in hybrid and electric vehicles. You will work in a fast-paced environment where these batteries are repaired, refurbished, and repurposed.
As an entry level Battery Technician, you will receive training as you work under the supervision of a production team to work with electric vehicle battery packs to complete requirements from the operator.
Job Responsibilities:
Adherence to all company policies such as attendance.Follow all safety protocol such as wearing proper PPE (Reflective Vest, Steel Toe Shoes or Boots, Approved Respirators, Protective Gloves and Safety Glasses).Sort materials.Dissembling batteries and battery packs.Utilizes test equipment to evaluate battery performance and identify performance issues.Replace defective parts.Assists with repair and refurbishment of batteries.Package and secure battery packs or battery part to prepare for shipping.Provide minor diagnostic work to determine root cause of non-working batteries.Provide repair to refurbish vehicle batteries for redeployment.Basic knowledge of the company Quality Management System components.Excellent communication skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.Excellent teamwork, collaboration, problem solving, and customer service skills.Organizational skills required.Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.Ability to pass and maintain a clear background and negative drug test.Other duties as assigned by management.Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED and up to 2 years’ experience in a related field.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the EV Battery industry.Computer proficiency.Physical Requirements:
This is a physical position and requires the following:
Individual lifting up to 50 pounds and the use of team lifting or lifting equipment to lift up to 137 pounds.Constant sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, stooping, lifting.Good hand and finger dexterity.Good hand and eye coordination.Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes to meet business requirements under safety guidelines.Working Environment
Variable, consisting of both the office environment and the manufacturing floor. Potential hazards include proximity of moving machinery. The position may require an individual to stand, stoop, move equipment; bend, reach, or lift for prolonged periods of time. PPE includes safety glasses, hearing protection and safety footwear.
