The Tennessee Electric Vehicle Center (TEVC) will produce the next generation electric trucks, with production beginning in 2027. The Battery Pack Team Manager position at Blue Oval City – Tennessee Electric Vehicle Center (TEVC) will have a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from ground up.
**What You'll Do…**
+ Ensure adherence and compliance to the Ford Production System (FPS) Key Unifying Processes (KUP)
+ Understand and consistently apply standard manufacturing operating systems and principles
+ Enforce compliance with Safety Operating System practices to achieve zero injuries
+ Ensure compliance with Quality Operating System practices to achieve zero defects
+ Use Andon data to prioritize efforts to achieve 100% flow
+ Support constraint analysis reviews and coordinate activities with proper teams to eliminate bottlenecks
+ Coach preventive and predictive maintenance activities within the areas of responsibility or where it is required
+ Identify spare parts and preventive maintenance job plans for new equipment, and review effectiveness for existing job plans
+ Improve existing maintenance job plans based on failures, feedback from work team and engineering team
+ Plan, coordinate, and execute highly technical training for the personnel within the department
+ Ensure department compliance with government, industry, and corporate standards
+ Serve as maintenance liaison for launch-related Pro-Tag and Arc Flash updates, Construction Service Safety audits/compliance checks, and interdepartmental Pre-Task Analyses
+ Facilitate start-up/shift-to-shift meetings
+ Monitor, control, and improve Maintenance Cost Per Unit (MCPU)
+ Manage and support material control (spare part inventory), repair and rebuild programs, and reliability and maintainability reviews
+ Supervise salaried employees
+ Communication to work teams and Recognition of accomplishments
+ Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks
+ Basic Administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents
+ Lead all daily, weekend and shutdown maintenance planning with input from your team(s) and engineering
+ Maximize equipment effectiveness through a detailed, standardized, and prioritized preventive and predictive maintenance plan designed to improve
+ productivity
+ Provide resources, support, and priorities for all maintenance actions; Use Maximo (MFM) to document all maintenance activities (planned and crisis) and create reports to support continuous improvement
+ Use Maximo to analyze data and evaluate the effectiveness of the preventive maintenance plan
**You'll have…**
+ Education: High School Diploma
+ Experience: 1-2 years maintenance leadership work experience and troubleshooting in a Manufacturing environment
+ Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls
+ Ability to work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends
+ Ability to work independently with limited supervision
+ Capable of assigning work to hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms safety, quality, and throughput
+ Strong organizational and administrative skills
+ Ability to multi-task
+ Working Knowledge of and familiarity with CMMS ( ex. Maximo, SAP, Emaint )
+ Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills
+ Mechanical or electrical troubleshooting skills
+ Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills

+ Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
+ Experience: 3-5 years maintenance or electrical leadership
+ Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls
+ Automation assembly experience
+ Automotive experience
+ Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
+ Knowledge of constraint management principles
+ Safety and Quality experience preferred
+ Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)
+ Prior experience managing a diverse work force
