This is a contract position; however, it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Battery Systems Tech
Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Battery Systems Tech will include: As a high voltage core technologist, you will play an essential role assisting in the development of leading-edge high voltage battery systems. This role requires an organized, and motivated individual to support the overall electrified powertrain team in building, instrumenting, testing, installing, and benchmarking of HV battery systems. Strong hands-on capability, knowledge of high voltage systems and a keen eye for safety are a must. Instrument HV batteries for temperature, current, voltage in support of various vehicle & bench testing Fabricate test fixtures as needed to support core battery assembly and battery component testing Benchmark HV battery packs from competitive vehicles which includes disassembly of HV systems, testing of components, drawing of HV schematics, and capturing other critical competitive information Performing testing on core battery components Diagnose vehicles with high voltage battery functional issues and determining root cause – as needed Build HV EDS test harnesses and electrical break out boxes to USCAR or other standards.

You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. High School diploma Associate degree Instrumentation experience for temperature, current, voltage Hands-on experience with High Voltage power sources Technologist experience Experience building wiring jumper harness to supporting instrumentation or provide representative vehicle function Experience diagnosing vehicles with high voltage battery functional issues and determining root cause Battery Systems Tech
