Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

Control the operation of the banbury extruder to keep materials (banbury mix or adhesive) extruding at sufficient volume to allow continuous operation of the banbury. (Keep material out to prevent “back-ups” and losses in production).As required, depending on product: If producing:Banbury Mix- upon exit of material from extruder, thread material through water bath over powered wheel to feed the weigh scale, weigh material and cut to specified weight and put material into pans or into carts as required.Adhesive- upon exit of material from extruder, start material onto conveyor belts, follow-up closely to assure belts are at the proper speed and readiness to accept the adhesive. Constantly check conveyor for proper water spray and tightness. Assure smooth delivery to destinationProperly tag and identify all materials in accordance with system in place.Follow all safety rules and company rules and regulations.Maintain work area and equipment in clean and orderly condition.Report sub-standard quality to banbury operator and supervisor. Understand and use proper method for waste oil handling.Perform other duties as required or directed. Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED PreferredPrevious manufacturing experience preferredMust have excellent attendanceMaintain a safe work environmentMust be able to work overtime as requiredMust be able to perform all duties in a safe and effective manner.
