BDR - PES Lead Facilities Technician

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a facilities maintenance or technician role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with maintaining and troubleshooting equipment, with a focus on process improvement. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Electrical troubleshooting experience.  This includes electrical and/or mechanical fault diagnosis using tools like a multimeter to systematically test and identify equipment issues (short circuits, open circuits, incorrect voltage levels, or faulty components). Mechanical troubleshooting experience, including root cause analysis to identify equipment issues, such as abnormal sounds. Ability to maintain and service equipment on the facility floor, such as air compressors, augers, batch plant equipment, solenoids, valves, etc. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues across different departments. Adaptable and proactive in addressing challenges and opportunities on the production floor.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist in the setup, maintenance, and repair of factory equipment and facilities to ensure efficient operations. Enhance industrial hygiene and lead efforts to maintain a clean, orderly facility and eliminate debris and foreign objects from the production area. Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance. Support the implementation of new equipment and processes, ensuring they are integrated smoothly into existing operations. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues quickly and effectively to minimize impact on production. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including repair logs and preventive maintenance schedules. Collaborate with the engineering and operations teams to identify opportunities for process improvements. Collaborate with engineering to develop and maintain troubleshooting documentation. Contribute to a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the facility.
