ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Smile and show genuine interest in the guests’ needs or questions and always attempt to accommodate any reasonable request. Provide a greeting and communicate with the guests in a friendly and courteous manner. Ensure that prompt and courteous service is provided to all guests and visitors to the outlet. Maintain a clean and safe dining and work area at all times. Keep the drink stations and side bars wiped down and free of dirty glassware, plates, silverware and ashtrays and dispose of used plastic cups, beer cans and other trash. Remove the used dishes, utensils and glassware from the tables and place in the approved bus tubs. Complete this task as quietly as possible and without disruption to the guests surrounding that area. Transport the filled bus tubs back to the dish washing area at the earliest opportunity. Maintain the cleanliness of the side stations, drink stations and other assigned locations. Assist in filling in or offering a break to the other co-workers as requested. Complete the tasks as assigned or as needed. Maintain a good working relationship and provide daily detailed communications with the Restaurant Manager, the Food Shift Supervisors, Food and Beverages Leaders and other co-workers. Conduct themselves at all times in accordance with the established Resort’s Mission, Value System, and Guest Promise. Notify co-workers of discrepancies noticed. Adhere to all grooming standards. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

AGE and GAMING:
18 years of age or above. Non – Gaming property.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED is preferred. Previous experience in the use and knowledge of the POS system and cash handling is a plus. Must have basic computer knowledge.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required. Must be Serv-Safe certified or become certified within thirty (30) days of employment at Pearl River Resort and C.A.R.E. (Controlling Alcohol Risks Effectively) certified before starting to work. All candidates must successfully complete the class and obtain a test score of 84% or higher.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees and one on one.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Essential responsibilities include physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least forty (40) pounds, and standing/walking 75% of the shift. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, twist, and grip throughout shift. This position is required to work in outside weather conditions and may perform responsibilities and/or essential functions on slippery or wet surfaces as well as exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and extreme weather/heat.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke.
Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
