As a Clinical Systems Analysts in our Pathology Unit, you will participate in the design, development, implementation, modification, and evaluation of healthcare systems, recommend automated and manual solutions to enhance system functionality, and participate in project teams associated with the development and implementation of clinical systems. This position supports many LIS projects, the Lab Connect Relationship and many other new reference lab client interfaces and work for reference lab billing vendor relationship.

Responsibilities:

Participates in feasibility analysis, estimating, planning, designing, developing, prototyping, building, resting, implementing, quality assurance evaluation and modification of automated systems. Recommends solutions to enhance system functionality.Collaborates with system users and other IT professionals to evaluate, plan, design, implement, and provide ongoing optimization and preventative maintenance support for Beaker/LIS applications.Gathers, validates, and translates technological requirements into design and development specifications while providing Beaker/LIS product management.Analyzes, designs and builds workflows to meet the needs of Beaker/LIS users.Analyzes and diagnoses Beaker/LIS related system problems, identifies root cause, and then solves the problem or escalates issues to other appropriate IT staff when outside area of responsibility or expertise.Coordinates moderate and high complexity Beaker/LIS projects.Assumes on-call responsibilities as required.Other duties as assigned.

Education:

Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related fieldBachelor’s degree preferred

Languages:

Language required - NALanguage preferred- NA

Certifications:

Certification/proficiency in one or more Epic applications requiredBeaker certification/proficiency or other Lab Informatics System certification requiredFor Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start date.

Complexity of Work:

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

6 years of implementation, support and management of computer-based information systems experience preferably in a health care or lab environment.Or three years of Beaker/LIS implementation or support experience.Offset: Bachelor’s degree and four years of implementation, support and management of computer-based information systems experience preferably in a health care or lab environmentOffset: Bachelor’s degree and two years of Beaker/LIS experience.Offset: High School diploma/GED and 8 years of implementation, support and management of computer-based information systems experience preferably in a health care or lab environment.Offset: High School diploma/GED and 6 years of Beaker/LIS experience.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment. Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
