We are seeking a Registered Nurse, Bed Control and Transfer Service Coordinator. This individual is responsible for managing patient bed placement and the utilization of beds in accordance with established standards and policies. This individual:

Determines patient priority and the ability to transfer patients between units when requested beds exceed available beds.Acts as a liaison for physicians and hospitals to facilitate the transfer of patients into the institution. Keeps abreast of and demonstrates sensitivity to and understanding of the ethical and legal ramifications related to patient placement and utilization of beds. Collects and analyzes data from various hospital departments to appropriately determine patient placement.Regularly reviews census and acuity information to determine or anticipate potential problems or trends and to prevent the disruption of services.Collects and analyzes transfer specific data to assure efficiency of most current processes.Maintains complete and accurate documentation concerning activities and decisions related to the admission, transfer or discharge of a patient.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.Three years of recent (within the past five years) nursing experience that includes supervision and patient bed placement.Basic Cardiac Life Support Provider and ACLS certifications required.
