Overview This individual provides direct patient care through the Beebe Medical Group department, with specific focus on the care of palliative care patients, in the hospital and the community setting. The Nurse Practitioner in this role will practice according to established protocols, policies, procedures, and accepted standards of care. Functions within approved scope and credentials as approved by Beebe Healthcare credentialing committee. Follow established nursing standards, procedures, and practices, and gives specific patient care directions to nursing and other support staff. Responsibilities Assessments. Diagnostics. Documentation. Coordination of palliative care and/or end-of-life services. Collaboration with other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient plan of care. Risk Assessment. Communication. Coaching/Counseling family and caregivers. Leadership. Quality and Timeliness of Work. Qualifications 2 - 4 years experience preferred. Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Palliative and/or End-of Life Care preferred. Competencies Skills "Nonessential: * Clear Communication Skills Both Written And Verbal * Able To Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients, Team Members * Able To Withstand Crisis Situations * Has Skills To Provides Customer Service To Patients, Team Members And Visitors * Knowledge And Experience With Electronic Health Records " Credentials Essential: * NP - Nurse Practitioner * BLS - Basic Life Saving certification Education Essential: * Master of Science in Nursing Other Information 2 - 4 years experience preferred. Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Palliative and/or End-of Life Care preferred. Salaries starting at USD $96,595.20/Yr.
