Just for Kids is a community-centered non-profit organization that offers before and after school and summer programming in the Amherst, Cheektowaga Central, Cheektowaga Sloan, Cleveland Hill (Cheektowaga), Grand Island, Sweet Home, and Williamsville Central School Districts. We also offer programming at The Park School of Buffalo, Saints Peter and Paul School in Hamburg, St. Benedict School in Amherst, St. Mary's School in Swormville, and Nardin Academy in Buffalo.
Position Summary
As a Field Supervisor at Just for Kids, you will be at the forefront of our mission, ensuring our before and after school programs are exceptional in every way. This role offers a unique blend of on-site engagement and strategic oversight, allowing you to directly influence the quality of our services while mentoring a dedicated team. Key Responsibilities
+ Oversee a caseload of Program Managers, who directly supervise our school-age programs, spending 40% of your work week on-site to promote seamless operations and foster a positive environment. The remainder of your week will be at the Administrative Office, coordinating and strategizing.
+ Mentor and support Program Managers to ensure they meet state regulations and organizational standards. Your guidance will be crucial in maintaining high-quality programs.
+ Engage regularly with Program Managers and site-based staff to share best practices and address any challenges, ensuring a cohesive team effort.
+ Actively represent Just for Kids at vendor fairs, community events, and school open houses to foster strong partnerships and enhance our presence within the communities we serve.
+ Lead the planning and preparation for break camps and summer camps. Ensuring memorable and enriching experiences for the children.
+ Provide coaching and training to on site staff to equip them with the skills and confidence to maintain our high standards of care. Step into on-site roles when needed, ensuring programs run smoothly in the absence of a Program Manager.
+ Confidently and promptly resolve on site concerns, utilizing quick-thinking problem-solving skills to maintain smooth operations at the site level.
+ Identify training needs and organize staff training and professional development programs, ensuring continuous growth and excellence within the team.
+ Handle parent communications with professionalism and care, addressing their concerns and keeping them informed.
+ Provide insightful monthly reports on inspection results, highlighting successes and identifying areas for improvement.
+ Oversee payroll review and approval, ensuring our staff are compensated accurately and timely.
+ Conduct thorough performance appraisals of Site Management, recognizing and fostering talent within our team.
Schedule
Full time, Monday through Friday. Non-exempt.

Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Proven supervisory, management, and leadership skills with substantial experience.
+ Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
+ Excellent organizational skills with a talent for multi-tasking and effective time management.
+ Outstanding customer service skills, with the ability to professionally interact with students, parents, and community members.
+ Experience with, or a willingness to learn, OCFS regulations related to school-age programs.
+ Preferred qualifications include eligibility for the "Director" position with NYS OCFS (Office of Child and Family Services) and at least two years of experience as a named Director within a NYSOCFS licensed program.
Salary Description
$20.00 - $23.00 / Hour
