Behavioral Conduct Specialist, Community Corrections - Ocean View

Change the lives of those in your care! The Behavioral Conduct Specialist, Community Corrections is responsible for the administration of the resident/inmate discipline and rewards programs.  Recommends and renders discipline and rewards in accordance with general guidelines, methods, policies, regulations, and laws. 

Reviews incident reports/rule violations submitted by staff to ensure complete information has been provided, and recommends sanctions for the infractions using progressive discipline guidelines.Conducts fair and impartial discipline hearings in accordance with company policy and procedure, and due process rights of residents/inmates.  Maintains the integrity of the discipline process at all times.Completes discipline packets/reports, and logs all incident reports/rule violations, discipline activity, notes regarding resident/inmate behavior into facilities management software (FMS).Participates in the development and implementation of a positive reinforcement system for compliance, programming milestones, and other achievements.Provides staff training to maintain consistency in the discipline process and to encourage staff's role and responsibility in reinforcing resident/inmate compliance with rules, policies and procedures.

Qualifications: 

Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in a social or behavioral science field is required.One year of experience in a related field is required.  Additional related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.  Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing and apply problem solving techniques to complex issues.   Experience in Microsoft Office or other similar software applications is required.  A valid driver's license is required. Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
