LCSW-C/LCPC - BH Advanced Clinician Position Summary

The Behavioral Health Advanced Clinician is responsible for providing clinical assessments and evaluation of patients presenting in psychiatric crisis. The clinical assessment will include psychiatric history, mental status and recommendation for need. The clinician will provide clinical diagnosis while collaborating with psychiatrist/psychiatric nurse practitioner to define the course of care to meets the patient’s needs. The clinician’s essential function will include ensuring clinical soundness of crisis services through evaluation of need, conditioned monitoring of care and crisis services and connection to appropriate community resources as appropriate.

 

LCSW-C/LCPC - BH Advanced Clinician Position Requirements

Education

Master's Degree required.

Required License and/or Certification

LCSW-C or LCPC required

Experience

2 years of behavioral health therapy or counseling experience required (internships count) - 5 years preferred. Training in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, family therapy, and supportive therapy preferred.
