We are looking for a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide medical services to adults and adolescents experiencing persistent mental illness in an outpatient setting.
Schedule: Mon - Fri 8 am - 4 pm or 9 am - 5 pm
Salary: $85,000 / year
The Clinic Registered Nurse will ensure the provision of high-quality, well-coordinated medical services within an outpatient setting for with clients experiencing chronic and persistent mental illness and/or substance use disorders.
The Clinic Registered Nurse will work under the direction of the Clinic Director and Physician and also as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide medical screening, assessments, monitoring, preventative health education, and consultation, for clients receiving behavioral health clinic services.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Performs health and vital sign screenings and monitoring of indicators including blood pressure, weight, lab work, immunizations, body mass index, diabetes and heart disease, urine tox screens, TB tests. Records all findings, recognize any variances, outliers or red flags, and take the appropriate action. Performs basic in-house lab tests, obtains, and processes specimens for outside laboratories. Coordinates client flow to ensure the provision of timely and efficient needed care and assists in facilitating clients in obtaining medical services, including scheduling clients as appropriate, triaging clients, and assessing clients who walk-in to the clinic seeking services. Provide vaccinations when indicated including, but not limited to, Influenza and other infectious viruses. Conducts nursing assessments which include, but not limited to, wound care, pregnancy tests, and injections. Provides clinical expertise for complex cases and medical emergencies; administers Narcan for emergency use. Provides psycho-education to clients and families related to medication management, health, and wellness. Assists in teaching clients and caregivers how to manage client health conditions.
