MercyOne Medical Group – Northeast Iowa is made up of more than 30 primary care, pediatric, internal medicine and specialty clinics located throughout Black Hawk, Bremer, Buchanan, Benton, Butler, Fayette and Tama counties.

At MercyOne, we’re looking for a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Counselor to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide therapeutic counseling to individuals facing behavioral health challenges, offering support and guidance tailored to their unique needs.

Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive assessments, completing social histories, and designing personalized therapy plans that help patients on their journey toward wellness. You’ll also work closely with families, ensuring they are fully involved and supported throughout the treatment process.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday

Every 5th Saturday rotation

8:00 am to 4:30 pm (may flex)

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, counseling, psychology, or other related field.

Must be CADC certified within 1 year of employment if working in Chemical dependency.

BLS. Mandatory Reporter. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (NVCI) within 6 months of hire.

Minimum of 3 years experience with individual and group therapy preferred.
