Job Summary:

Horizon is hiring interns in Behavioral Health who are interested in learning all about Managed Care and being part of a new and existing startup company. This is an opportunity of a lifetime to see how an organization is built.

Responsibilities:

Undertakes an internship designed to provide on-the-job training and experience.Engage in various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity, structured to enable the intern to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform at a professional levelAssist Implementation Managers with functions to support a large project including IT and clinical design buildDay to day activities which includes but not limited to development of desk level procedures, workflows, participation in meetings and documentationAssisting with creation of business requirement documents and so much moreReceive training and mentorship in planning and carrying out activities and assignmentsUndertake and/or participates in projects and programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise appropriate to the needs of the organizationExecute multiple assignments in an efficient mannerPerform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

Requires High School DiplomaPursuing an undergraduate or graduate degreeEntry Level RoleStrong verbal and written communicationExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work well in teams.Ability to work in fast paced environmentStrong work ethic and attention to detailAbility to execute tasks with a sense of urgencyGeneral Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power PointInterest in Behavioral Health and Healthcare

Location: 3 Penn Plaza Newark NJ – Hybrid Work Schedule

Schedule: 8am-5pm (9 hour work day with lunch)

Duration: 11 week Summer Internship Program (June 2, 2025 – August 15, 2025)
