As a Behavioral Health Technician, you'll provide direct and supportive care to clients/patients, including health monitoring, crisis intervention, training, supervision, and facilitation of group education/structured activities. Key Responsibilities:

Ensure adherence to program expectations, rules, and report behaviors to assist with therapeutic interventionsParticipate as an active member of the treatment team, identifying client's strengths, needs, abilities, and preferencesDocument and report exceptional behavior, areas of concern, and client activities relevant to progress or behaviorAssist in admission/orientation process, including obtaining vital signs, safety searches, and collecting specimensCoordinate incoming calls and respond to crisis callsAssist and educate clients/patients in performing daily activitiesMonitor client activities and document bed checks during overnight shiftsEnsure clients/patients are accounted for and precaution protocols are followedAssist in monitoring general health conditions of clients/patientsFacilitate education or recreation groups as scheduledAdhere to medication policies and work with nursing staff to ensure complianceProvide client/patient transportation as neededMaintain behavior consistent with agency expectations and program philosophyComplete mandatory trainings within required time framesAttend staff meetings, treatment team meetings, and training sessionsAdhere to all program policiesScreen and monitor detoxification clients to ensure safety and recovery needs are met

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree
ORMAADC I or IITwo years relevant experience in direct care preferred

Additional Qualifications:

Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a company-owned vehicleMust be at least 23 years of age to operate a company-owned 15-passenger vanKnowledge of confidentiality laws governing substance use and mental health disorder treatmentAbility to establish rapport with client/patient populationCapable of communicating ideas clearly and effectively, both verbally and in written reports
