Behavioral Health Technician

Silvermist is looking for a Full Time BHT to join their amazing team in Renfrew, PA.

Pay: $17 per hour

Hours: Day Time Friday- Thursday

Responsibilities:

Assist with intake process with new clients into program. Communicate with staff either verbally or in written communication logs. Responsible for detailed client logs. Medication Management. Listen to clients concerning all areas of treatment. Maintain a safe, orderly and therapeutic physical environment for clients including crisis intervention. Coordinate activities including lectures, recreation and meetings. Follow objectives of treatment plans. Helps clients obtain a sponsor. Attend shift change and company meetings. Attend training as necessary. Transport clients. Monitor treatment for necessary hygiene and medical needs. Help with upkeep of facility. Train new staff on unit, program and milieu. Evaluate behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provides input. Assist with interventions with clients. Responsible for conducting searches of clients when they return back to the facility. Prepare client snacks. Clerical duties as needed.

Required Education/Background: 

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Valid Driver’s License. Drug and Alcohol/Mental Health experience preferred. Capable of role modeling to the clients. Able to work together with staff to effectively meet the needs of the clients. Maintains positive relationship with the clients. Complete required training and mandatory training hours.

Ability to sustain a team environment, drive continuous improvement projects, confidentiality, excellent problem-solving skills and excellent communicator within the team framework.
