Job Overview:

 We are currently hiring for someone to join our team in St. Louis, MO as a Behavioral Health Associate at our St. Louis County Residential Treatment Programs. In this role you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to clients/patients with substance use and mental health disorders. You will work closely with the treatment team to ensure the safety, well-being, and progress of clients/patients while adhering to program expectations and policies. Key Responsibilities:

Ensure adherence to program expectations and rules, reporting any observed behaviors to supervisors for therapeutic interventions.

Participate actively in the treatment team by identifying client/patient strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences.

Document exceptional behaviors and areas of concern related to client/patient interactions and progress.

Assist in the admission/orientation process, including safety searches and obtaining vital signs.

Coordinate incoming calls and respond to crisis calls as needed.

Assist and educate clients/patients in performing daily activities.

Monitor client activities, ensuring all clients/patients are accounted for, and document relevant activities and progress.

Adhere to medication policies, working with nursing staff to ensure compliance.

Provide transportation for clients/patients as necessary.

Maintain behavior consistent with agency expectations and program philosophy.

Attend meetings and training sessions as requested by supervisors.

Adhere to all program policies and maintain confidentiality as per confidentiality laws governing substance use and mental health disorder treatment.

Screen and monitor detoxification clients to ensure safety and recovery needs are met.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

High School education or equivalent with two (2) years of responsible employment history.

OR

Bachelor’s Degree OR MAADC I or II for St. Louis County Programs.

Additional Qualifications:

Knowledge of confidentiality laws governing substance use and mental health disorder treatment.

Ability to establish report with client/patient population.

Clear and effective communication skills, both verbally and written.

Required License/Certification:

Valid Driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

First Aid and CPR certification.

Behavioral Management training certification within thirty (30) days of employment.
