The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is responsible for providing one-on-one service to clients in a home / community setting. The services are designed to assist the client in functioning within a home and community through intensive counseling and supportive interventions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess basic personal computer knowledge and skills.
Valid state driver’s license required.
Experience with children or adolescents with Autism preferred.
Must meet one of the following: Certification as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). Certification as a Board Certified Autism Technician (BCAT). Have a High School Diploma, or equivalent, and completed 40 hours of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training (before seeing clients). Have at least 2 years of ABA experience and 40 hours of RBT training.
JOB DUTIES:
Ensure all required documentation is completed legibly, professionally, and submitted in a timely manner.
Maintain daily logs of behavior progress and relay information to team members, supervisors, and other staff as required.
Work collaboratively with the Behavior Consultant, Behavior Analyst, Service Supervisor, Program Manager, and all team members to ensure the service plan is meeting the client's needs and recommend other services as needed.
Provide one to one and/or group support and intervention when required including behavior modification techniques and proactive strategies to stabilize the client as outlined in the service plan.
