NaphCare is currently seeking experienced Behavioral Health Technicians to join our team at the Pima County Detention Complex facility located in Tucson!  Full Time, Part Time, and PRN shifts are available!  Pay rates range from $23.00 to $30.00 per hour based of certification and experience. PRN shifts and hours vary based on coverage needs for FT shifts and will be determined by site leadership and prn employee availability.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for Behavioral Health Technicians:

 

Participates in weekly multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings and implements interventions for patients in a correctional mental health/healthcare setting.Supervising patients and providing formal education in routine activities of daily living (hygiene, eating, recreation, etc.),Provide care and activities programming as well as social rehabilitation and leisure activities,Assists in the preparation and maintenance of records pertaining to patient mental health, and scheduling, setting up, operating and supervising telepsychiatry appointments. Qualifications

Qualifications for Behavioral Health Technicians:

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work/Sciences, Therapeutic Recreation, or related fieldLevel 1 Psychiatric Technician Certification from the American Association of Psychiatric Technicians preferred, not requiredTwo years or more experience providing activities programming for patients who have a serious mental illness requiredCompetencies with Excel sufficient to create, maintain, and update scheduling databasesMust show current tuberculosis documentationActive CPR certificationMust be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
