Behavioral Health Therapist I - Bellefield IOP

Western Psychiatric Hospital is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team at Bellefield Towers (Oakland)! Bellefield Towers’ Adult Services Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) address the needs of those receiving treatment for bipolar disorder, eating disorders, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, and depression. We are a team oriented service area looking for people who want to learn evidenced based interventions for mood/anxiety disorders and suicide behavior.
**Our Behavioral Health Therapist is eligible for a Sign on Bonus!!**
**1-year work commitment--$5,000**
**2-year work commitment--$7,000**
**3-year work commitment--$10,000**
**Responsibilities:**
+ Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
+ Completes same-day clinical documentation and provides necessary information for service authorization.
+ Periodically reviews cases and serious patient condition changes with the supervisor and clinical team.
+ Assesses and incorporates changing patient needs into treatment plans.
+ Conducts new patient assessments under supervision and adapts treatment models for service delivery.
+ Provides individual and group therapy, engages families, and educates patients on recovery.
+ Documents all patient-related activities according to guidelines.
+ Discusses additional service needs with the clinical team and refers patients to appropriate care levels and community services.
+ Participates in treatment team meetings to review and update treatment plans and monitor progress.
+ Maintains daily clinical productivity records.
+ Creates comprehensive treatment plans for patients with diverse needs.
Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education in school counseling, or related field required. (Successfully completed the educational requirements as defined in practicing state's code)
One year of clinical experience preferred.
**_ATTENTION: A COPY OF YOUR GRADUATE-LEVEL TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE ATTACHED FOR CONSIDERATION._**
Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation and assessment process, as well as application of current version of the DSM preferred.
Experience in diagnosing and treating behavioral and psychiatric conditions preferred.
Experience working with suicidal patients or IOP/PHP levels of care; knowledge of DBT skills training is preferred.
**Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**
Passed the examination required by 49.11. relating to licensure examination Must sign a license agreement and be actively working to obtain the Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW), or Licensed Family Marriage Therapist (LMFT) within 30 months of hire.
· Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
· Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
· Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
· Act 33 with renewal
· Act 34 with renewal
· Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
