UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Safe Harbor is looking for a Behavioral Health Therapist I for our Addiction Medicine and Recovery Services team (AMS)!
Our AMS team provides evidence-based therapy and parts of the 12-step program to help in the recovery process. Services provided include counseling, medical treatment, peer support, mobile case management, screenings, assessments and individualized treatment plans. Additionally, our AMS team provides support to family members and loved ones through various offerings including but not limited to education around substance use, coping strategies and techniques, medication management and identifying triggers.

As the Behavioral Health Therapist I, you will play a key role in our patient’s recovery through effectively assessing, evaluating, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy to this target population in co-located facilities. In this role, you will partner closely with our AMS team members, who will support, provide guidance and share their expertise as you grow in your career. As a Behavioral Health Therapist I, you will be provided the opportunity for supervision for clinical hours to apply toward licensure.

Responsibilities:
Clinical Assessments & Treatment:
Conduct patient assessments and make clinical decisions under supervision. Assess and incorporate changing patient needs into treatment plans. Provide individual and group therapy, engage families, educate patients on recovery. Create comprehensive treatment plans addressing individualized patient needs.Collaboration and Communication:
Review cases and patient condition changes with supervisor and clinical team. Discuss additional services needs with clinical team and make referrals as needed. Participates in treatment team meetings to review and update patient plans.Quality Assurance & Documentation:
Document all patient interactions and case management activities. Maintain daily clinical productivity records. Complete clinical documentation and provide required information for service authorization.
