The Role: Behavioral Health Unit Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Provides patient care under the supervision of an RN in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

What You'll Do:
Performs basic patient care activities within the scope of practice. Assists patients with meeting their emotional, physical, and spiritual needsGreets patients and visitors. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls. Calls codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requestedReports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staffAssists with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderlyYour Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.Enrolled in a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course within one year of hire required. Certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required within 18 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS); and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) is required within 6 months of hire.A minimum of one year of directly related work experience is strongly preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft applications is desired.Exceptional customer service and communication skills.Why Choose MaineGeneral:
