Are you ready to be part of a team passionate about making a difference in helping children, families, and our communities? At Seneca, we seek a Behavioral Specialist for our Therapeutic Behavioral Services Program (TBS) team.

 

As a Behavioral Specialist, you will provide behaviorally focused, intensive mental health services to children who have been identified as at-risk for higher levels of care or are stepping down from higher levels of care. Your work as a Behavioral Specialist will be directly with the client and their families/support networks to provide them with tangible skills specifically tailored to their strengths and needs to address target behaviors. Services for children and families are family focused, strength based, and are provided in the community including, but not limited to, schools, hospitals, and family homes.

Responsibilities Maintain caseload of 3-6 clients. Meet with clients and caregivers on a regular basis to provide time-limited, individualized, and behaviorally focused mental health support services to youth and their families to further treatment goals and ensure successful transition of clients and their families. Collaborate with the treatment team members to provide crisis intervention and mental health services. Cultivate relationships and maintain communication with all treatment team members including participation in treatment reviews, IEP meetings, and other client related meetings. Coordinate and implement overall services and treatment for assigned clients, including assessment, treatment planning, evaluation of progress, and termination. Complete treatment plans, functional behavioral assessments, progress notes, monthly reports, and other required documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain accurate and complete client charts and records to county and agency standards. Participate in weekly individual and group supervision and all program meetings and trainings. Maintain accurate paperwork including but not limited to time sheets and mileage reimbursement.  Qualifications

Required:

Education/Experience requirements:Bachelor's degree OR Associate degree and 2 years of relevant experience At least 2 years of experience working directly with youth and their families within the mental health field.Strong written and verbal skillsStrong organizational skills as demonstrated by the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.Cultural responsiveness; ability to work with a diverse populationMust be at least 21 years of ageOwn vehicle, Valid California driver's license and insurability with Seneca's automobile policyTB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirementsMust show proof of COVID-19 vaccination

Preferred:
