Open year round, the Inn is a five-minute stroll from Chatham’s charming Main Street and within a short drive of all Cape Cod has to offer. The role of the Bell/Valet Attendant is to provide the utmost in guest service while ensuring that the guest’s arrival, welcoming, and hotel orientation is handled efficiently and professionally. The Bell/Valet Attendant is responsible for but not limited to adhering to and practicing the Chatham Bars Inn Service Standards that include Preferred Hotels and Resorts, Forbes, and AAA. Additional responsibilities include: • Greeting the guest upon arrival • Smile and greet guests in a welcoming manner and use the guest’s name • Assisting with their luggage and motor vehicle • Escorting the guest to their room • Provide room orientation in addition to hotel orientation via maps and directions • Assisting with guest inquiries • Communications with the Front Desk at all times • Respond to and manage phone activity at the Bell station and company radios • Maintain a professional appearance at all times Qualifications Superior customer service skills Ability to multi-task Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organization Ability to work closely and cohesively with other departments to ensure optimum guest satisfaction Well-groomed Able to stand for long periods of time during shift(s) Able to move quickly to retrieve guest’s vehicles Previous experience preferred but not necessary
