The Role

Parks and retrieves guest vehicles and transports luggage. Runners have a profound impact on service as they are often the first and last point of contact guests have with the property.

Responsibilities

Enhances the guest experience by providing exceptional service.

Answers incoming phone calls, routing as necessary.

Greets and interacts with guests on the front drive and in lobbies.

Disseminates information to guests as requested.

Parks and retrieves cars as per established guidelines.

Inspects cars for pre-existing damage and documenting ticket accordingly.

Unloads cars and transports guest luggage as per established guidelines.

Assists in moving luggage and belongings from one guestroom to another (room changes).

Delivers keys, messages, amenities etc. to guestrooms as requested.

Stores luggage for guests as requested.

Transports guest luggage and belongings from guestroom and load vehicle (checkout).

Assists in answering incoming phone calls.

Documents all “runs”.

Arranges for transportation for guests as requested (taxis, limos, etc.).

Monitors Bell and front drive area for cleanliness.

Resolves guest issues.

Adheres to department and property policies and procedures.

Transports guests by Company vehicle as necessary.

Adheres to established Guest Service initiative set by the Company.

Upholds the Mission Statement – We create authentic experiences that rock.

Represents Hard Rock Biloxi in the most positive manner with guests, co-workers, managers, and vendors.

Maintains knowledge of property information & memorabilia.

Qualifications

A. Knowledge: The level of education, experience, and training an individual must have at minimum to be considered qualified for the position.

B. Skills: Specific skills such as computer usage, communication, 10-key touch, etc.

C. Abilities: The physical components of the job and how the physical aspect is accomplished. Does the position require LIFTING 50 pounds, or does it require one to MOVE 50 pounds. Can the 50 pounds be moved using a dolly or cart? (Examples: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, color vision, etc.)

High school diploma or GED.

Valid U.S. driver’s license; good driving record.

At least 21 years of age.

Ability to operate automatic and standard shift vehicles.

Physical dexterity to run and retrieve vehicles.

Ability to work with exposure to outside weather conditions including heat, humidity, sun, wind and rain.

High energy level.

Excellent non-verbal communication skills – good posture, able to establish eye contact, and positive body language.

Must project a professional and positive image.

Ability to handle and carry out instructions.

Must be able to maintain composure under stress in a fast-paced work environment.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all Hard Rockers and guests.

Basic reading skills.

Ability to understand and promulgate written memos, instructions, regulations.

Training

All employees are required to complete mandatory compliance training within thirty (30) days of hire date, then annually thereafter. Training marked with an asterisk below must be completed prior to reporting to their respective work area. The below courses are required for this position:
