Batteries Plus is looking for a customer-focused Bench Store Manager to manage the Madison West, Madison East or Monona, WI locations. The Store Manager will lead and manage retail and commercial store sales activities in order to achieve sales and profit goals while positively contributing to the growth and development of the store team through training, communication, follow up, planning, organization, recognition and support.\n

Responsibilities:\n

Sales Management\n\nEnsure execution of all retail and commercial in-store selling programs and promotions \nObserve, demonstrate, coach and require GAP ACT selling behaviors \nImplement business plan and sales strategies such as Referral Pad distribution, phone answering scripts and add-on selling; track progress\nSet and track individual and store goals to achieve store sales performance goals\nCollaborate with the commercial sales team to ensure appointment and sales goals are met \nEnsure all team members are achieving individual prospecting and lead generation goals\nAnalyze buying activity of existing accounts work to increase sales\nSupport the commercial sales team in all related sales activities (order processing, price quotes, stock checks, substitutions, follow-ups, etc.)\nProvide service and support to commercial customers. Ensure customer deliveries are accurate and on time. Maintain third-party delivery vendor relationships (if applicable)\nManage Repair Center performance, quality and turn-around times\n\n

Personnel Management\n\nDemonstrate and require a customer first mentality.\nSchedule staffing based on the needs of the business within budgeted limits.\nDevelop and supervise Assistant Managers and Store Associates. Provide training for all retail and commercial sales, operational and safety policies and processes. \nDelegate tasks, validate completion and ensure policies and procedures are being followed.\nProvide ongoing coaching, development and recognition. Develop the team for future roles, ensure the team understands the deliverables and is supportive of innovation and change. \nPerform timely evaluations and implement progressive discipline.\nRecruit, interview, select and hire as needed.\n\n

Operations Management\n\nOversee activities of Assistant Manager to ensure standards are met for merchandising, presentation, inventory management, loss prevention, safety, corporate reporting and facility management\nUnderstand and manage controllables; address deficiencies. Identify and implement actions to control costs\nDelegate tasks, validate completion and ensure policies and procedures are being followed\nFunction as a leader by acting in an influential and persuasive manner. At the same time, be a team player and individual contributor to attain company goals\nComplete all of the Quest modules pertaining to device repair and manage the talent necessary to have an adequate number of device repair experts at the store. Device Repair Certification may be necessary for the Store Manager depending upon the needs of the individual store\nManage the flow of devices using the Work Order Management System\n\n

Qualifications:\n\nMinimum H.S. diploma\/equivalent; Advanced degree in business or retail management preferred\nMinimum 3-5 years of retail management experience, preferably within a durable goods setting. Experience must include commercial (outside) sales\nStrong oral and written communication skills\nAble to effectively manage confrontational situations in a controlled and courteous manner\nAbility to handle multiple projects\/tasks and meet deadlines\nStrong technical aptitude; a basic understanding of electronics. Must have the ability to accurately read gauges and work with hands\nMust have valid driver's license and clean driving record\nMust be able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business including peak seasons and special events This includes the ability to work at multiple store locations, as needed\n\n

Pay Range - $50,000 - $60,000\n
