Reconciles monthly file matches from carriers as well as auditing the carrier’s bill to our system to identify any discrepancies between the two and have them corrected as necessary.Our employees work a hybrid schedule. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
• Verifying Enrollment and group information in BenefitMall and the carrier system to confirm information matches.
• Research and resolve all carrier reports and non-electronic issues. Identify issues independently and offer solutions. Maintain record of transactions until problem is solved and resolution is in place.
• Receive and process all changes, corrections monthly.
• Contact representatives and Brokers to explain retro billing adjustments.
• Submit retro change requests to carriers for approval prior to processing.
• Prepare letters to be sent to Carriers to confirm repayment agreements.
• Reconcile carrier invoices, identify, and resolve discrepancies within Carrier guidelines.
• Communicate with Sales and carriers to make appropriate payment arrangements.
• Prepares manual adjustments to debit or credit Accounts Receivable resulting from carrier interface discrepancies.
• Communicate with internal and external clients verbally and in writing complicated reconciliation issues in a timely and concise manner to ensure client understanding.
• Review and forward any plan amendments to carrier for approval and communicate when approved or denied.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 2+ years of related experience
• Knowledge of Enrollment materials.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook Exchange; proficient in Internet Explorer.
• Knowledge of health insurance.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external personnel, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem solving skills.
• Type a minimum of thirty (30) words per minute.
• Develop and maintain good relationships at all levels within the company and with agents, brokers, and/or carrier representatives.
• Work in and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
The annual base salary for this position is $45,760 - $47,840.
General Description of Available Benefits for Eligible Employees of TIH Insurance: All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of TIH Insurance offering the position.
