The Benefits Administrator will work at the direction of the Vice President, NA Total Rewards and Sr. Manager, Benefits & Administration. This role is responsible for the administration, communication, and management of our North American benefit programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing excellent support to employees & vendors. You have advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite and previous experience working in the human resource field is a definite asset, as is an undergraduate degree in Human Resources. Location: We are open to filling this position in either our U.S. or Canadian offices.
What you can expect to be doing:
Benefits Administration: Manage the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, & retirement plans for both the United States and Canada. Ensure benefits are administered in accordance with plan documents, company policies, and legal requirements. Customer Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer (vendors/employees) inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, claims, and enrollment. Compliance and Reporting: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and provincial regulations, including ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ERISA, and HIPAA. Working with assigned vendors, assist in the process of preparing/submitting required filings such as 5500s and other compliance documentation. Leave of Absence Management: Assist with LOA processing/management with our employees, leave vendor, and HRBPs. Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors, brokers, and carriers to resolve issues, improve service delivery, and renew benefit plans. Annual Enrollment: Assist with the planning and execution of the annual open enrollment process, including system updates, communication materials, and employee and vendor support. Data Management: Maintain accurate records in the HRIS and benefits administration systems. Assist vendor in the building/testing/implementation/monitoring file feeds with external vendorsThis might be the job for you if you have:
Bachelor’s degree, courses in Human Resource or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in benefits administration or a similar role. Experience managing benefits in a multi-state environment. Experience with Canadian benefits preferred. Strong knowledge of benefits laws and regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA). Proficiency with HRIS and benefits management systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In accordance with NY/CO/CA/WA law, the estimated base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $72,000. Your final base salary will be determined based on several non-discriminatory factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
