Position: Benefits Administrator

Job Description:

The Benefits Administrator position responsibilities involve the day-to-day administration of employee health and welfare benefit plans including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and other group insurance plans and programs.

The Benefits Administrator provides excellent customer service to our employees and partnership with our internal departments and outside vendors in our goal to provide comprehensive health and welfare plans to our teammates.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

Ensures timely and accurate benefits enrollments in the benefits center to provide vendors partners with accurate eligibility information Performs benefit enrollment and related data audits and quality checks to maintain the integrity and compliance of this information Serves as primary contact for benefits administration vendor partners Assists with the processing of qualified life event status changes as needed Assists employees with benefit enrollments and dependent eligibility verifications as needed Updates employee benefit records as required Works within the case management system to facilitate timely and effective employee benefit record escalation needs Assist with projects such as the open enrollment process, census dependent eligibility verification audits and new plan year audits as needed Provides detailed benefits administration reports Completes monthly invoice billing reconciliation and payment process Documents and maintains administrative procedures for all benefits administrative processes Maintains compliance with applicable government regulations during benefits administration processes Coordinates with governmental agencies to accurately process QMCSOs Provide customer service support to internal and external customers Assist with the development of communication tools to enhance employee knowledge and engagement with the company’s health and welfare program Provide support to other administration and operations teams as needed for benefits administration related matters Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience Minimum of 2+ years of related “hands-on” group employee benefits administration experience Professional human resources or benefits administration certification is a plus Experience with the Businessolver Benefitsolver system is a plus Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Excel (Intermediate) and PowerPoint, experience with human resources and benefit enrollment databases Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment Effective time management and priority setting skills to meet established deadlines Performs well under minimum supervision Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines Strong analytical skills Thorough knowledge of benefits administration laws and regulations Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to understand, evaluate and make judgements on benefits related documents and other information Knowledge of benefit plan documents and summary plan description language Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail and process oriented
