Benefits Administrator

The Benefits Administrator will be responsible for administering employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and assisting employees with benefit-related inquiries. This role requires a strong understanding of benefits administration, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

The Role: 

Support the administration of the company’s employee benefits programs, including health insurance, dental, vision, retirement plans, life insurance, disability benefits, and wellness programs. Assist with employee enrollment in benefits programs, including initial enrollment, qualifying life event changes (marriage, childbirth, etc.), and annual open enrollment periods. Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits plans, coverage, claims, and eligibility. Provide guidance and support on benefits options, processes, and troubleshooting issues. Ensure that employees and their dependents meet eligibility criteria for various benefits. Verify enrollment data and maintain accurate records in the HRIS (Oracle HCM). Process and track changes to employee benefits via HRIS or other systems. Ensure all updates to employee benefits are reflected in a timely manner and that employee records are up to date. Provide guidance to employees regarding how to file claims, track their status, and resolve any issues with benefits providers or administrators. Address and resolve discrepancies or disputes related to benefits coverage, claims, or eligibility in a timely and professional manner. Act as a liaison between employees and benefits providers to resolve issues. Assist in internal or external audits related to benefits programs. Prepare necessary documentation, respond to audit requests, and ensure that all records are complete and compliant. Conduct system testing for functionalities related to benefits eligibility, enrollment, claims, and reporting to ensure compliance. Manage the daily operations of the benefits ticketing system, ensuring that all tickets are properly logged, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner.

 

Experience:

0-2 years of experience in an administrative or customer service role (preferably in Human Resources or Benefits Administration). Familiarity with HRIS and benefits administration software (Oracle HCM is a plus)

 

Knowledge & Skills:

Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Must be proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and 10-key skills.  Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks to meet all deadlines.  Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality with sensitive information.  Ability to work with little supervision, taking initiative in tasks that need to be done and using good judgment in making routine decisions.

Travel Frequency: 0-10%

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 – $54,000

 

The actual title and salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors.
