Benefits Advisor

Summary

The Benefits Advisor will work with employees, employee’s family members, managers, and HR Professionals with Benefits programs and processes. Collaborate with the benefits team, vendors, IT, and payroll to implement high-quality programs, continuously improve processes, and ensure compliance with legislative requirements. Assist with annual enrollment projects and produce detailed analyses and reports using Workday and other databases.

Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field (or equivalent years of experience)7-10 years of vendor management experience, preferably with third-party benefits administrators7-10 years supporting employee requests and escalations related to benefitsExperience with mergers and acquisitions, payroll administration, and ERISA plan compliance work strong preferredExperience with Canadian benefits preferred

Knowledge and Skills

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills - organized and thorough, capable of moving quickly, serving as an active contributor and/or leader on several projects at the same timeExperience managing budgetary resources - understanding annual spend, performance guarantees, service level metrics, contracting, and monitoring work ongoing to identify potential risks and savingsStrong written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills, including ability to establish credibility and trust with internal partners and external vendors and handle difficult situations with diplomacy and professionalismAbility to think analytically and resourcefully to quickly identify potential problems and areas of improvement and identify and implement solutionsComfortable and effective working independently within a geographically dispersed teamStrong computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and payroll systemsProficient in Microsoft Office suite, experience with SharePoint  and Copilot preferred

Responsibilities

Advise employees, employee's family members, managers and HR Professionals on programs and processes related to benefits and time awayWork closely with our benefits team, vendors, business units, internal IT and payroll groups to effectively and accurately provide high quality benefits programs to employees - measure their performance and look for opportunities to improve overall vendor effectiveness, continuously review existing processes with a goal towards improved efficiency and accuracyAssist with the annual enrollment project deliverables, including systems review and testing, employee questions, etc.Utilize Workday and other databases to produce detailed analyses and reports around plan data, employee participation, eligibility criteria and other metricsMonitor compliance and legislative tasks and changes, ensuring necessary filings and reporting are completed accurately and timely, identify and apply needed policy updates, partner with internal council and external consultantsOther duties as assigned

The base pay range for this role is $97,800 to $139,000 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
