As a Benefits Analyst, you will be responsible for analysis of Health, Welfare, and/or Retirement plans to track cost, develop trends and recommend programs to control healthcare and retirement expenses. WHAT OUR BENEFITS ANALYST ENJOY MOST

Analyzing detailed data to look for trendsProcessing non-discrimination testing for the 401(k) in partnership with our external vendor compliance teamsProcessing funding for the 401(k) and review errors and other reports for the 401(k)Assisting with the annual Open Enrollment process and with the review and update of information on the total rewards siteAddressing and provide resolution to escalated employee benefit related issuesAssisting in overseeing assigned vendors and work closely with internal teams to ensure that deliverables are received accurately and on a timely basisManaging HR SharePoint projects and tasks for the Benefits teamAssisting with preparation of materials and research/documentation of appeals for the Administrative CommitteeAddressing legal department requests (benefit support for subpoenas, etc.)

You’ll be recognized as a subject matter expert within the Benefits department and will work on a wide range of benefits related projects; seldom are two days the same. You’ll deal with benefit data and reporting so you must be resourceful, eager to learn and able to adapt to an ever-evolving work environment and industry. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

Experience:Benefits experience 3-5 yearsEducation:Bachelor's degree HR, Finance/Accounting or related field or equivalent experienceTechnical skills:Knowledge of employee benefit plans, policies and proceduresKnowledge of state and federal laws regarding ERISA, HIPAA and FMLAKnowledge of HRIS systems (e.g. JD Edwards, Payroll software)Skills:Effective analytical skills, including advanced Excel skillsAbilities:Can read, write, speak and understand EnglishCan evaluate systems and procedures and develop improvementsCan analyze and interpret dataCan maintain confidentiality and adhere to the highest degree of professional standardsCan manage multiple projects at one timeCan document in a clear and straightforward mannerCan prioritize and organize effectively in a fast paced environmentCan show judgment and initiative to accomplish tasks in a timely mannerCan interact positively and communicate with all levels of staff and managementCan use personal computer and software applications (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required) and can pay attention to detail
