Job Summary
Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day administration of White Cap’s employee benefit plans. Analyze various benefits and participant data. Explain and communicate benefit plans, information, options available, and perform other related duties as required.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
•Oversee and monitor benefits inbox, resolving issues, monitoring/creating metrics, and working directly with Benefits Managers to ensure reasonable timeframes for issue resolution.
•Ensure effective transfer and receipt of demographic, benefit election and contribution files to vendor partners (including management of error reporting and troubleshooting any system or integration issues). Investigate and resolve eligibility file issues, research and resolve file discrepancies with vendors.
•Collect, analyze, and interpret data to assist in identifying inefficiencies and areas for improvement in existing processes.
•Participate in annual benefits open enrollment preparation including testing and validating plan design changes.
•Assist with the reconciliation of benefit accounts, audits, and billing.
•Conduct audits of 401(k) and benefit deductions to ensure accuracy and identify issues.
•Develop documentation of benefit practices such as eligibility rules and standard operating procedures for recurring tasks.
•Support the preparation of compliance requirements.
•Assist and complete special projects as assigned.
Nature and Scope
Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process.
May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support or professional personnel.
Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
No travel required.
Education and Experience
Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.
