We are seeking a meticulous and highly organized Benefits Associate to join our team. This position will play a key role in supporting the administration of employee benefits and time-off plans, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, and timely communication. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, and demonstrate the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks at the same time.
Key Responsibilities:
PTO & Sick Time Management: Maintain Workday configuration and accuracy of all time-off plans (PTO, sick leave, floating holidays, etc.). Track and audit time-off requests to ensure compliance with company policies. Benefit Administration: Ability to answer basic benefit questions, research escalated issues and provide a resolution. Zendesk & Alight Ticket Management: Handle and resolve benefits and PTO related inquiries via Zendesk tickets. Work with our vendors on benefit-related issues and internally on PTO corrections. PTO & Benefits Reporting: Generate and maintain PTO reports, including audits and retroactive corrections. Ensure data accuracy and track trends. Benefit Enrollment Support: Assist with open enrollment, send reminder notifications, File Research & Corrections: Investigate and correct any discrepancies in benefit files. Ensure accurate records are maintained for all employee benefit-related information. Inbox Management: Maintain the benefits inbox, responding to HR questions and ensuring timely resolution of requests. PTO Law Compliance: Stay updated on new PTO laws and ensure compliance across all company policies. Recommend adjustments as needed. Job Aids & Training Materials: Create and update job aids, video training materials, SOPs and other resources to support employees' understanding of benefits and PTO procedures. Payroll Audits: Assist in payroll audits to ensure the accuracy of time-off and benefit records. General Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to HR and the benefits teamRequired Skills and Qualifications:
Excel Expertise: Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions, data analysis, and reporting. Attention to Detail: Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy. Customer Service: Ability to manage Zendesk tickets and effectively respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and time-off. Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, etc.) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and ability to create presentations and reports. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to create clear job aids, video training materials, and to interact with employees. Experience: Previous experience with benefits administration, time-off management, or HR systems preferred. Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with PTO laws and benefits regulations is a plus.Preferred Qualifications:
