Summary:

Under the direction of the Benefits Manager Americas, responsible for the design, implementation and communication of employee benefits plans aligned with the Total Rewards strategy & guiding principles. Supports formal benchmarking reviews, utilization analytics and vendor management across programs. Keeps abreast of local legislative and regulatory developments. This position has a strong focus and responsibility on retirement plans.

 

Schedule & Location:

This is an exempt, office-based position in Johnston, RI that allows for 1-2 days of remote work each week based on business needs. Core in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday weekly.

 

Responsibilities

 

Responsible for managing all types benefit programs across the Americas region, with a focus on retirement plans.  Leads local benefit reviews and shapes program design in line with the global strategy and market practice in adherence with the defined Procurement, Legal & Information Security processes.  Provide support with cost analysis as required.Keeps up to date on industry trends, laws, regulations, and policies of multiple countries to ensure compliance. Recommends enhancements to benefit administration processes where appropriate.Assess vendor proposals and statements of work, makes tactical recommendations based on expected results, desired outcomes and success measures. Receives escalated vendor issues and works toward resolution.Collaborates on global initiatives, as directed by the Benefits Manager, using in-depth knowledge of benefit offerings and industry trends. Leads projects, develops project charters & plans, collaborates with HR partners on related communications and change management activities.Facilitates the benchmarking of reward programs and gathers competitive intelligence to contribute to the development and implementation of best-in-class programs that align with business needs.Responsible for ensuring that employee communication materials, such as the Total Reward Summary, Summary Plan Descriptions and other compliance documents are maintained. Assists in drafting employee communications as needed.Responsible for the oversight & governance of benefit inventory tools & resources, in partnership with global benefits management vendors for benefits within the Americas regionThis role’s primary focus is on benefits programs, however some activities may extend into the compensation area of Total Rewards. Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelors DegreeCombination of education and professional work experience will be considered

 

Highly Preferred Education:

CEBS Professional Designation

 

Required Work Experience:

5+ years of related work experienceDemonstrated experience in Human Resources and Benefits

 

Required Skills:

Ability to communicate benefit policies and practices, especially with knowledge of the United States and Canada and other countries in the Americas regionExcellent communication skills, decision making and problem-solving skillsIn-depth knowledge of benefits best practices, laws, techniques, applications, and programsWorking knowledge and skills in technology applicationsStrong analytical skills, including proficient standard of excelUnderstanding of retirement landscape, including DB retirement plansMS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)

 

Highly Preferred Skills:

Overall business understanding and knowledge of FM Global’s benefit policies and practicesWorkday experience

 

The hiring range for this position is $88,400 - $127,100 annually. The final salary offer will vary based on individual education, skills, and experience. The position is eligible to participate in FM Global’s comprehensive Total Rewards program that includes an incentive plan, generous health and well-being programs, a 401(k) and pension plan, career development opportunities, tuition reimbursement, flexible work, time off allowances and much more.
