The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering and managing various employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, and providing excellent support to employees. This position plays a vital role in maintaining accurate records, processing claims, and fostering an understanding of employee benefits within the organization. WHAT YOU WILL DOAdminister employee benefits programs and assist in running benefit reports.Approve new hire, life event, and auto-enrollments in the Wurk system; download and store confirmations in employee benefits files.Collaborate with the Payroll team to ensure parental leaves are paid accurately.Enter and track benefit adjustments in Wurk for missed premiums.Co-manage the Benefits inbox to address employee inquiries.Send proper LOA paperwork to employees requesting leave.Track FMLA time taken in Wurk and update manual LOA spreadsheets.Ensure return-to-work releases are received before employees return from LOA.Prepare monthly benefit premium statements for employees on LOA and record check premiums received by mail.Complete employer statements for short-term disability (STD) and long-term disability (LTD) claims.Collaborate with Reliance for historical claims usage and ongoing STD/LTD claims management.Enter and update status changes (FT to PT and PT to FT) in the status change spreadsheet; send eligibility announcements and manually terminate benefits when needed.Retrieve supporting documentation for life event approvals, including domestic partnership statements.Monitor compliance with federal and state laws such as COBRA, FMLA, and ADA accommodations.Track regulatory updates and recommend policy changes to ensure ongoing compliance.Educate employees about benefits options and assist in resolving their questions.Monitor benefits trends and recommend updates to attract and retain qualified candidates.Work with insurance and retirement plan providers, as well as third-party vendors.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORStrong knowledge of employee benefits, including COBRA, FMLA, and ADA accommodations.Proficiency in benefits systems, specifically Wurk or similar platforms.Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.Strong analytical and communication abilities.Familiarity with STD/LTD claims processing and LOA tracking is preferred.Experience in payroll collaboration and benefits compliance is a plus.Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.Proactive approach to monitoring trends and recommending improvements.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER OUR EMPLOYEES AT JUSHIWe offer benefit packages that may include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short, and Long Term Disability, Flexible Spending Accounts, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, and 401(k).  BONUS DUTIES YOU SHOULD UNDERSTANDPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
