Position Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and results-driven Benefits Manager to join our team on a hybrid basis in Torrance, CA. You will play a critical role in planning, developing, and administering the company's benefits offerings, ensuring they are competitive, cost-effective, and compliant with all legal requirements. As the Benefits Manager, you will work closely with various teams to design and implement programs that support the well-being and retention of our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage Employee Benefits Programs: Administer and communicate the company's benefit offerings, including health insurance, disability, retirement plans, wellness programs, vacation, sick leave, and more.Vendor Management: Collaborate with benefits vendors for annual policy reviews, negotiate coverage options, services, and costs, ensuring competitive and cost-effective solutions.Open Enrollment: Oversee the annual open enrollment process, including plan setup, communication, employee meetings, and post-enrollment activities.Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all benefits programs comply with federal and state regulations. Generate reports for benefits analysis, compliance, and internal payroll (e.g., HSA, 401K).Employee Education: Develop and deliver communication materials to keep employees informed about benefits options and any changes to programs.Leaves Management: Oversee employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, ADA, personal leave, and disability claims.Continuous Improvement: Research industry trends to ensure programs are up-to-date with competitive offerings, and recommend new benefit plans or cost-saving measures.Payroll Coordination: Approve and monitor employee benefit selections in the system, ensuring proper enrollment during new hires, life events, and terminations.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other departments (e.g., HR, payroll, finance) to ensure smooth benefits operations and accurate data processing.Additional Duties: Support HRIS and compensation projects as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent experience.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in benefits management.Technical Proficiency: Experience with Dayforce or similar benefits administration systems.Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of federal and state regulations regarding employee benefits programs, including compliance requirements.Project Management: Proven experience in leading benefit-related projects and managing program implementation.Communication Skills: Ability to create clear communication materials and educate employees about complex benefits topics.Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to manage benefits inquiries, system issues, and enrollment processes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $52.00
