Benefits Operations Analyst Expert
Our UPMC Corporate Benefits Department has an exciting opportunity available as a Benefits Operations Analyst Expert. This is a full-time position that works Monday through Friday, daylight hours (8am-5pm), in a hybrid work setting. In this role, the Benefits Operations Analyst Expert will perform technical and specialized work involved in the administration of employee benefits. They'll analyze, identify, propose, and implement process improvement, reporting and automated solutions for benefits administration across shared services departments. They'll articulate these opportunities to internal and external stakeholders, lead project teams for implementation, and track and monitor progress. Additionally, they act as technical and systems subject matter expert supporting the benefits team and Employee Service Center. The ideal candidate has a strong technical skillset and is proficient with programs like PowerBI and Microsoft Excel. Additionally, they have a strong understanding of employee benefits and/or retirement programs. If this sounds like you, apply online today for your chance to network with our team! **Responsibilities:** + Identify and implement system and work process improvements to increase automation, enhance reporting, and support UPMC's benefits administration. + Review current recurring processes such as vendor file transfers, benefits deduction processing and reconciliation, and employee escalation tracking to identify greater efficiencies and potential improvements. + Model business requirements for process improvement, special projects and enhancements to existing processes; validate and test fixes/enhancements to new and existing processes and systems. + Manage projects from the scoping phase through implementation and hand off. + Identify areas of concern that may compromise efficient benefits administration through data analysis, and propose solutions based on findings, expertise, and research. + Partner with HRIS team to understand and utilize HRIS system to generate management reports related to benefit deductions, eligibility, enrollments, confirmations, event maintenance, plan statistics, etc. + Apply knowledge of system when researching and correcting system errors. + Act as the Benefits team technical subject matter expert engaging with IT, HRIS, payroll, etc. on an on-going basis to establish priorities and direction for technical work in benefits. + Establish processes that are efficient and effective in delivering outstanding customer service to internal business partners and employees. + Provide technical support as required for systems conversions, new vendor implementations, and other enterprise-wide changes as required. + Work with Third Party Administers to scope and implement operational capabilities for new programs. + Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, or related field required and six years of experience in a Project Management, Process Improvement, HRIS, or Employee Benefits role required. + OR High School Diploma/GED and eight years of experience in Project Management, Process Improvement, HRIS, or Employee Benefits role required. + Analysis experience with information systems required, Oracle Cloud HRIS preferred-including QA/audit/systems testing. + Experience in employee benefits administration, data management and transformation, HR Information Systems or similar business preferred. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. + Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:** + Act 34 **UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran**
