This position is responsible for assisting employees with Human Resources and benefit related questions and issues.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
Is the initial employee contact for problem resolution in health insurance, flexible spending accounts and 401(k)/retirement issuesAccurately communicates all benefits programs (i.e. life insurance, short term disability, long term disability, flexible spending accounts, etc.) to employeesProvides employees with answers to Human Resources related questionsEnrolls employees into the medical plans and ensures delivery of complete insurance packageApproves and audits benefit information in InfiniumHandles court orders pertaining to medical coverageHandles employee benefits verificationsComplies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA)Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with general Human Resources administrationActs as a liaison between employees and all other Human Resources staffDistributes employee incentive program awards, gifts, etc.Minimum Education and Qualifications:
High School Degree or equivalentPrior office experience preferredBasic knowledge of Word, Excel and OutlookCompetencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to multi-taskKnowledge of Mohegan Sun’s insurance packages and 401(k)/retirement planIntermediate knowledge in InfiniumAbility to navigate the HR Portal and Manager Self Service systemGeneral knowledge of payroll proceduresBasic understanding of all departmental responsibilities related to the operation of Mohegan SunTraining Requirements:
Must complete all appropriate Human Resources Training coursesExcellent customer service skillsDemonstrates a variety of problem solving skillsMust become HIPAA certifiedPhysical Demands and Work Environment:
