Your Job:
In this dynamic, customer-centric, and fast-paced role, you will proactively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional health and welfare benefit services to our employees who are dedicated to providing compassionate care to our patients. You will be responsible for administering the Methodist Health System Benefits Plans Plan and supporting day-to-day benefits administration, the bi-weekly payroll process, and annual open enrollment.
Your Job Requirements:
+ A B.S. in Human Resources or Business Administration is preferred but not required (work experience may be considered in place of education)
+ High school diploma or equivalent required
+ Prior experience in HR benefits and related skills preferred
+ Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
+ Strong customer service skills, with a focus on proactive solutions
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Experience with Workday HCM preferred
+ Ability to work independently after the probation period with minimal supervision
+ Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and Access
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources, with a preference for experience in the healthcare field
Your Job Responsibilities:
+ Act as a proactive point of contact for benefit vendors, ensuring timely resolution of inquiries related to eligibility file reconciliation.
+ Provide exceptional customer service by assisting employees with inquiries and issues related to Methodist Health System's Benefit Plans, acting as a liaison between employees and external insurance carriers/vendors.
+ Ensure proper filing of benefits forms after processing and maintaining organized employee files.
+ Proactively manage and process FMLA/LOA claims across the organization, ensuring compliance with Methodist policies and federal regulations, regularly updating the payroll team, and maintaining accurate records in Workday HCM.
+ Perform post/pre-tax and dependent audits (ages 19-26) for all benefit plans each month to ensure accuracy and compliance.
+ Prepare and transmit COBRA and HIPAA information each pay period, ensuring timely compliance.
+ Present benefit information during new hire orientations.
+ Manage the Ben Fund application process, conducting interviews, presenting findings to the committee, following up with applicants, and ensuring timely check disbursements.
+ Process employee out-of-pocket premiums for life insurance.
+ Coordinate necessary employee benefit payments with payroll and
+ Accurately set up employee benefit elections within the Workday HCM system, ensuring correct coverage for dependents and timely updates.
