The Benefits Specialist will be responsible for administering group benefit & retirement programs for First Continental Life (FCL) nationally. The Benefits Specialist will support and advise Human Resources and team members on a variety of benefit questions, issues and procedures, in addition to the delivery of benefit/retirement programs.

Responsibilities Act as the point of contact for all team member benefits questionsAssist team members (new hires, those with life event changes, all eligible during annual Open Enrollment) with online enrollment processWork with all external third-party administrators, carriers and brokers supporting Western Dental’s benefit programsEnsure success of data transmission of team member changes from UltiPro to all carriers is successful; reconcile and correct any data errorsWork within the HR systems (internal UltiPro system and external vendor systems) to generate reports, as necessaryOversee the processing of monthly billings and the preparation of payment for administrative feesAssist in tracking team member eligibility for benefits, monitoring hours works to ensure that part-time team members who become eligible are notified in a timely mannerAssist in design and distribution of materials for benefits orientations and Open EnrollmentDocument and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processesAssist with gathering data and responding to questions for annual plan auditsCoordination of all Leave of Absences (LOA) including FMLA and state leave programs, including administration of voluntary deduction reimbursement for team members on LOA, and serving as the LOA liaison and administrator for team members and our third party LOA administratorCoordination of STD/LTD benefitsAssist in 401(k) plan administration, including monitoring eligibility, contribution data files, plan payments, distributions, annual audit/testing process and Form 5500 filingsOther duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s DegreeMinimum of two years’ experience working with team member benefitsExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlinesProven ability to work effectively in a team environmentStrong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of plan designsComputer proficiency and technical aptitude; solid skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointHRIS ExperienceExperience with UltiPro a plus Options Apply for this job onlineApplyShareEmail this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
