Duties/Responsibilities:

Administer and oversee all benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, supplemental benefits, 401(k) plans, wellness programs, disability, leave policies, and workers’ compensation. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA, while managing annual reporting requirements. Perform reconciliation and auditing of carrier invoices to ensure accuracy and mitigate discrepancies. Verify the functionality of data feeds between HRIS, specifically UKG, and carriers, ensuring timely and accurate information transmission. Facilitate timely and precise follow-through on benefit processing, including enrollments and updates for new hires, terminations and qualifying life events, particularly during open enrollment periods. Administer and oversee workers’ compensation claims, report claims to vendors, manage return-to-work initiatives, and ensure legal compliance. Conduct benefit orientations and facilitate educational opportunities that provide in-depth information about plan options and processes. Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy across all benefit programs. Support the annual benefit renewal and enrollment process, effectively communicating program changes to employees and preparing relevant communication materials. Serve as a point of contact for benefit vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators, ensuring high-quality service delivery and cost-effective solutions. Address employee benefits inquiries and direct them to appropriate resources for resolution while maintaining exceptional customer service.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or associate degree in human resources or a related field is preferred. 5 years of experience in benefits administration, with a focus on Employee Health and Welfare Programs and 401(k) plans. Experience working in a public company is a plus. Proficiency in HRIS reporting and data entry, with strong analytical skills. Preference for UKG/UltiPro experience. In-depth knowledge of compliance requirements related to 401(k) plans and health savings accounts. Extensive knowledge of IRS, HIPAA, and DOL regulations concerning benefits administration. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on customer (internal & external) service and problem-solving. Detail-oriented with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
