Education & Experience Requirements
Associate’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field preferred.Minimum 3 years in employee benefits procedures.Customer Service or call center experience.Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook. E-mail and Internet usage required.Familiar with Payroll and benefits software systems (ADP).Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but only English is required.Job Qualifications
Exceptional written verbal and interpersonal communications skills.Organized and able to handle the pressure of deadlines professionally.Skilled at identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner.Able to work independently with solid follow through.Some travel is expected so must be able to travel if and when it’s needed.Good at communicating effectively as appropriate for the needs of the customer.Must be detail oriented and have good time management skills.Job Responsibilities
Plan, organize and administer the activities related to group health, group life, dental, vision, and flexible spending accounts.Processes insurance eligibility enrollments and distributes new enrollee insurance packets. Provide new employees with an explanation of benefits and instruct them on enrollment and fulfillment procedures.Develop employee benefits procedures.Administer COBRA, LOAs, FMLA usage and other issues as required.Responsible for data entry of insurance deductions, and updating of employee contributions.Ensures initial/final COBRA requirements are fulfilled to appropriate individuals timely and accurately.Act as liaison between Employee Benefits and other departments. Participates in activities relating to the communication of benefits programs, including benefit presentations at Orientation and departmental meetings.Prepare special reports and records.Assures employee confidence and protects human resources/risk management operations by keeping information confidential.Resolve benefit service calls by clarifying issues: determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining and answering questions regarding all benefit programs..Must Have These Attributes/Attitudes/Aptitudes
