We are open to considering candidates with less experience or qualifications, which will include an additional assessment to evaluate the job description and range. Boulder Community Health is seeking a Benefits Specialist that is responsible for performing a variety of professional and technical work involved in the administration of various benefit programs, with a focus on leaves of absence, short and long term disability, state paid family and medical leave, and ADA. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem solver with strong critical thinking skills and exceptional customer service skills. Under supervision, performs complex administrative and analytical duties to support established policies, procedures and guidelines. • Supports the management and administration of leave of absence processes and programs – including Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, FMLA, and other applicable state leave programs. • Ensures the accuracy of leave of absence, payroll, and disability data across multiple systems (HRIS system, State portal, Third Party systems) to provide employees and vendors with accurate information. •Assist in timecard management for those on Leave of Absence, including time tracking, supplementation pay, and sick and PTO as needed. •Audit, research, and correct errors based on reports, invoices, and statements from insurance companies and internal documents. •Coordinates the return to work process with employees, state, and third party administrator. •Assist in the research and resolution of administrative issues and escalated claims issues. •Responds to employee inquiries promptly to ensure quick, equitable and courteous resolution. •Assists in various research requests, including timely responses to audit inquiries; may assist in developing and preparing reports, letters and spreadsheets, guides and documentation About Boulder Community Health and Boulder, Colorado Boulder Community Health (BCH) is a not-for-profit healthcare organization based in Boulder, Colorado.
